Go Figure!: Figure Theatre Workshop – Vaun Narain

Create your own alien – free puppet theater workshop for the little ones.

Let your children unleash their imagination in a puppet theater workshop where creativity is at the center. It's not about performing, but about exploring, experimenting, and creating something completely unique – with your hands, head, and heart.

During the workshop, the children get to create their own unique figures from recycled materials and simple tools. Varun will focus on aliens, but the children can create whatever they want. -Maybe it will be a strange animal, a superhero, or a completely new creature that no one has seen before? Each figure grows through the children's own ideas and expressions. Afterwards, the children can take the figures home so that this can be the start of further play, storytelling and creative joy.

The workshop is led by performance artist and puppeteer Varun Narain. With extensive experience in puppet theatre, both internationally and as a former professor in Delhi, he brings solid expertise to the work. He creates an inclusive space where children can explore materials, shapes and imagination at their own pace.

This is what children experience:

Create your own figures from scratch using recycled materials
Exploring creativity through play and creative work
Take the figure home for further play and story creation

Target group: the workshop is suitable for children from about 5 years old (preschool children)
Duration: approximately 60 minutes per group
Times: at 10:00 and 13:00
Location: The workshops take place in the cozy premises of Corral's Tacos at Kabelgata 1B, in Økern. Right next to Kuben VGS.
Number of participants: approx. 10-12 children per group.
