You get
Concrete tools for working inclusively and participatoryly
Insight into audience roles and co-creation
New perspectives on storytelling and space
Lots of room to experiment and play
With over 25 years of experience from some of the world's most renowned immersive and interactive theatre projects, Higgin shares concrete methods and thoughts on how to build theatrical worlds, actively place the audience in the experience - and create space for play, participation and storytelling.
Peter will use examples from work in schools, in local communities and alternative spaces, and show how "immersive" principles can be adapted to different contexts.
This is a hands-on workshop where we explore and test together. Through exercises we work with audience perspective and world building, and bring ideas inspired by famous Norwegian folk tales to life. No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity and a desire to try. The workshop will be held in English.
This is a workshop for those of you who work with (or are interested in) theater, art, communication, pedagogy – or just want to explore new ways of creating experiences. Low threshold, high inspiration factor.
Come as you are – and join us in building worlds together.
Peter Higgin

Higgin has worked on more than 50 "immersive" projects, with rich narrative worlds in alternative spaces, culturally historic buildings, school premises, care institutions - and in the imagination of the public, across all ages.
Peter's work is rooted in a strong commitment to equal access to art and culture, and to promoting artistic quality in socially engaged practice.
Peter provides consultancy, creative management and design services to organisations, schools, cultural institutions and creative teams looking to explore and adopt immersive, participatory and co-creative methods. Through his work, he continues to develop innovative approaches to storytelling, audience engagement and learning through imagination.
