The Hedda Festival : Not that kind of story – Feil Teater

On a typical Tuesday, 15-year-old Leo is beaten up outside the school gates. Both he and the gang of boys behind him refuse to say anything – and everyone realizes that they are hiding something. Soon rumors start circulating in the class, and teacher Kaja has to try to piece together what really happened.

Not a Story Like That is a tale of secrets growing, trust unraveling, and friendships breaking down. Through an intense and intimate story, we ask some questions without easy answers:

What happens when online reality starts to flow into the classroom?
What mechanisms make someone drawn to the extreme?
And what happens when a young person begins to believe that violence is the solution to their problems?

Not a Story Like That is a new theater performance from Feil Teater , developed for young people between 14 and 18 years old.

The performance is co-produced by Kloden theatre and The Cultural School Bag in Oslo. The screening during The Hedda Festival is in collaboration with Voldsløkka scene. The performance is based on extensive research. The project has been developed in dialogue with professional environments such as the HL Center, Dembra, Dialogpilotene, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security and the August 10 Foundation.
