NOK 1 million from Arts Council Norway

Kloden has received 1 million kroner from the Arts Council of Norway to establish a pilot at Økern in Oslo!
The funds will be used to set up a space that performing artists can use to produce and show performances.
– There is a great need for suitable premises for performing artists in the capital. If everything goes according to plan, we can offer the public and artists a really good premises from the turn of the year 2019/2020, says Kloden -Director Ådne Sekkelsten.
The venue in question is located in Kabelgata, vis-à-vis the Kuben vocational arena. Kloden has conducted a feasibility study in collaboration with Transborder Studio and has come up with a solution that allows for very flexible use.
– Kloden will move to Kabelgata during the year. If we can get this space ready in addition, we can seriously develop a place for the performing arts and young people in practice, in collaboration with local actors. Økern is located in the middle of Oslo's largest development area, which is in great need of more art and cultural offerings, says Sekkelsten.
