3 million more Kloden teater

December 22, 2022

Kloden teater has received NOK 3 million in cultural center funding from the City of Oslo for the theater house Kloden teater.

"This is a milestone for the project, and is of great importance for further work on the financing of the theater house. Both with increased operating funds for 2023 and now the allocation of cultural center funds, the municipality clearly shows its willingness to invest in Kloden teater and thereby strengthen the performing arts offerings for children and young people, and increase the supply of production rooms and other facilities for the entire performing arts field. It's really inspiring!" says Ådne Sekkelsten, head of Kloden teater.

The purpose of the grant scheme is to contribute to suitable premises and buildings that provide space for various cultural activities. Grants may be awarded to cultural centers, multi-purpose premises or special premises for art and culture, such as libraries, buildings for museums or other cultural preservation measures, performing arts venues, concert halls or presentation facilities for visual arts. The funds can be used for new construction, renovation and modernization of cultural centres.
