Stinn Barracks at Pils & Preek at Kloden
November 1, 2024
Thank you to the more than 50 participants who attended Pils & Preik on Wednesday this week.
We are very pleased that such a wide range of the field was present and participated in the conversation. This speaks volumes about the need for a community and a forum for discussion about what is happening in the industry. Kloden Teater and Scenekunstbruket are taking it further by inviting you to a new gathering on December 12th. Stay tuned! More information about this will follow.
Common goals
The theme for this round of Pils & Sermon was how we can work to strengthen our common goals for the benefit of the entire performing arts field. In the wake of the national budget, discussions are focusing on how we can achieve the political will to invest in the independent performing arts field - a field that needs community and meeting points. Questions that were discussed included:
How should independent performing artists jointly work towards good funding schemes, rather than "just" flagging their own issues?
What needs to be in place for the independent performing arts field to have confidence in those who distribute funds, and be faithful to the existing schemes?
To get the conversation started, the event began with short presentations from Hildur Kristinsdottir and Eirik Willyson, Guri Glans and Anders Engebretsen.
