Bigfoot // GUTS

Imagine if you were three meters tall? Or had six legs? Or could live without your head?

Our bodies are constantly changing. They grow, they change, and they surprise us. For hundreds of years, people all over the world have invented strange creatures. Half human, half animal – or something else entirely.

These mythological creatures help us explain what we don't understand. In BIG FOOT, we are inspired by them to explore what it means to grow up in a body that is constantly changing.

GUTS is the unrest of transformation – the gut feeling that drives us forward, that moves in the muscles and marrow – all the power from within – chaotic, instinctive and vital.

GUTS is a dance company in Oslo with three dance artists from Norway and England. They use their bodies and senses to turn ideas into movement. They spend a lot of time playing, trying out and exploring what the body can do. When creating performances, they also collaborate with other artists who create sound, costumes and scenography. They have a common history with STICKY Productions and create immersive dance performances that engage multiple senses: OOZE (2024) and the Hedda Prize-nominated Økohelter (2022).
