For two years, Scenekunstbruket has been mapping and investigating the needs and opportunities for a venue for the performing arts and young people in Oslo. We are now in an exciting dialog with a real estate developer. We look forward to telling you about our findings and the way forward.

We therefore invite you to a presentation of the feasibility study KLODEN at the Culture House in Oslo on Friday, June 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

We want that KLODEN will be a place with children and young people as its core audience. It will be a house where professional theatre and dance meet children and young people, and where the young people themselves help build the place together with professional actors. KLODEN will be a driving force in urban development, a significant arts player for the Oslo region, an important house for the performing arts field in Norway, and a unique place in a European and international context.

Program for the day:

Scenekunstbruket welcomes you and briefly explains the project.
Johan De Smet , Artistic Director at Kopergietery Gent in Belgium, gives a look from the outside and talks about cooperation across borders.
Scenekunstbruket presents the project and status.
The architectural firm Transborder Studio presents a feasibility study in which KLODEN is drawn up at a specific location in Oslo, in collaboration with a property developer.
Norwegian Performing Arts Agency tells about plans and progress in the project.
Cultural Affairs Councillor Rina Mariann Hansen presents plans for the performing arts and young people in Oslo.
