Kloden in the center is postponed
April 1, 2020
Due to the pandemic, we are now planning to host the festival Kloden in the city center in the fall of 2020. This is a demanding time for everyone, but soon we will meet again!
Kloden in the city center was to take place between June 6th and 13th, simultaneously and in collaboration with The Hedda Festival , which has been forced to cancel this year's festival. In a press release, Solrun Toft Iversen, head of the Hedda Committee, writes: "We are already looking forward to being able to gather again when we can put this restrictive time behind us and process it together. We are lying dormant now, but gathering strength for a new spring."
The Hedda Awards ceremony on June 14 has not yet been canceled. NTO, in collaboration with The Norwegian Theatre, which is hosting this year's award ceremony, will reassess after Easter whether the ceremony can be held as planned or whether it must be postponed to a later date.
We look forward to inviting you to the festival in Kabelgata as soon as possible, and we look forward to arranging Kloden in the city center together with The Hedda Festival next year, specifically June 4–13, 2021.
We will get back to you with information about the dates for Kloden in the city center 2020.
Take care of yourselves and each other!
Kloden in the city center is our annual festival, which until 2019 was held in the city center during The Hedda Festival From this year onwards Kloden in the city center is held in Kabelgata in Økern. There will be performances and events on Kloden's own stage, in schools and out in public spaces. We will keep the word "center" in the festival name even though we have moved. Økern connects Groruddalen and the downtown districts together, and is located in the middle of Norway's largest development area.
