The globe in the center is postponed

April 1, 2020

Due to the pandemic, we are now planning to arrange the festival Kloden i sentrum in the fall of 2020. This is a demanding time for everyone, but soon we will meet again!

Kloden i sentrum was to take place between June 6 and 13, simultaneously and in collaboration with Heddadagene, which has been forced to cancel this year's festival. In a press release, Solrun Toft Iversen, chair of the Hedda Committee, writes: "We are already looking forward to being able to gather again when we can put this restrictive time behind us and process it together. We are lying dormant now, but are gathering strength for a new spring."

The Hedda Awards ceremony on June 14 has not yet been canceled. NTO, in collaboration with The Norwegian Theatre, which is hosting this year's award ceremony, will reassess after Easter whether the ceremony can be held as planned or whether it must be postponed to a later date.

We look forward to inviting you to a festival in Kabelgata as soon as possible, and we look forward to organizing Kloden i sentrum together with Heddadagene next year, more specifically 4-13 June 2021.

We will return with information about dates for Kloden i sentrum 2020.

Take care of yourselves and each other!

Kloden i sentrum is our annual festival, which until 2019 was held in the city center during Heddadagene. From this year, Kloden i sentrum will be held in Kabelgata in Økern. There will be performances and events on Kloden's own stage, at schools and in public spaces. We are keeping the word "center" in the festival name even though we have moved. Økern connects Groruddalen and the districts close to the city center, and is located in the middle of Norway's largest development area.
