Kloden in the city center – so fun!
June 21, 2018
The tent is packed up, and we've settled in a bit after a week of Kloden in the city center. Over the course of eight days, we have shown seven different performances, with a total of 16 screenings. We have had a lot of audiences, and most of the performances have been sold out. We have gained new Klodenvenner, and new audiences have discovered us. We can simply say that Kloden in the city center has been a success, and not least: very, very fun.
With the program, we have been able to showcase a slice of all the excellent performing arts that are produced in Norway for the young target groups. Showing performances in a tent in the middle of a busy area naturally has quite large limitations in terms of rigging, lack of glare and soundproofing, and not least space. Nevertheless, it worked Kloden in the city center as a viewing arena, and as a taste of what can happen at Kloden when it is finished.
Thanks to The Hedda Festival with a great team in place, thanks to Teater Manu, Brageteatret and Østfold Kulturutvikling Scenekunst for the loan of equipment, and thanks to the Nationaltheatret for the loan of wardrobes. And last but not least: thanks to all the companies and the audience!
We will be back next year, but in the meantime we will continue to present performing arts, both on our own and in collaboration with other actors. Next on the program is Asphalt Pulse, which you can read more about here.
Do you want to help ensure more great performing arts for young audiences, while getting discounts on performances etc. and not least: the coolest t-shirt in town? Become a Klodenvenn!
