Kloden in the city center receives support from the City of Oslo

June 9, 2020

Many thanks to the City of Oslo's Department of Culture for supporting Kloden i sentrum! As you know, the festival has been postponed until the fall due to the pandemic. We look forward to inviting you here to Kabelgata on the other side of the summer.

This week, Kloden i sentrum was supposed to start, and we were going to organize our festival here in Kabelgata for the first time. As you know, that didn't happen. We were looking forward to being the host theater during Heddadagene for Viral with Unge Viken Teater, Psykt blod with Brageteatret_ung and Deilig er jorden with Teatret Vårt.

In addition, we had programmed several other performances: Lost and Found productions with the show Oh baby baby and Landing with Felt were to be shown at schools in our community. Biong/Schia would come here with INNI. Liavaag/Lindberg with Sea me and Det Andre Teatret with TREIG. In addition, we would collaborate with Nordic Black Theatre on screenings with students at Nordic Black Xpress. There would be artistic pop-ups both here and in the city center.

We were going to have a broad professional program, with a dramaturgical kitchen and kitchen table chats between young people about hate speech and the climate crisis. We also planned to organize professional events for young people and the performing arts field in collaboration with Kuben upper secondary school, Agenda X, Transcultural Arts Production - TRAP and Nordic Black Theatre.

So this fall, there will be a variant of Kloden in the city center here in Kabelgata, in Kloden Pilot! At the moment we are in full swing with carpentry and painting, and soon the lighting and sound equipment will arrive, which is a gift from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
