Ready for Go Figure! puppetry festival

May 3, 2022

Go Figure! Festival for puppetry and visual performing arts in Oslo is a biennial that was held for the first time in 2018. We here at Kloden have collaborated with them for several years, and this June, two of the festival's performances will also be shown here at Pilotscenen in Kabelgata.

Wordless and visually beautiful performance

SOLACE is a visual theater performance without words, about a boy who is stuck in a dark and unknown place. He is surrounded by characters that he feels but cannot see. Are they his protectors or his enemies?

Solace comes from the Latin "sōlātium" meaning comfort or relief. Here we meet a puppeteer and a dancer who are bound together by memories, in a harsh desert-like landscape. A cage of memories where past and present collide in this performance inspired by Japanese Butoh theater.

Tibo Gebert is an award-winning contemporary artist, puppeteer and artistic director of Numen Company. Gebert is internationally renowned for his beautiful productions and fabulous puppetry.

Organic science fiction theater

Wakka Wakka is back with another critically acclaimed, spectacular and hilarious show!

The first part of the Animalia trilogy, Animal R.I.O.T played at Pilotscenen last year, and now they are back with part two: The Immortal Jellyfishgirl, an ecological science fiction theater piece. Wakka Wakka explores the role of humans and wild "denial" into a somewhat theoretical - yet increasingly likely - future.
