Cirka Teater celebrates 40 years with a free performance during the fall holidays
September 21, 2023
During the autumn holiday week, Cirka Teater starts its anniversary with the performance "Puls" at Kloden theater. Over a hundred children and adults have already booked tickets.
Humans have a strong urge to create, build and invent. In the pursuit of more, we leave behind large amounts of debris. But what happens to humans when confronted with the results of what we have created? And do we have control over what we create?
"Puls" raises questions related to the human footprint on the earth. It is a wordless and magical performance, with visually and technically spectacular effects - something you rarely see on the theater stage in Norway.
- The scenography itself is built by one of the country's best technical scenographers in collaboration with an engineer, and it exposes the performers to the scariest and strangest things! Puls is a physical, uninhibited performance, and is suitable for a wide range of audiences, from young to old, says Ingrid Bjørsnøs Kvam, general manager of Cirka Teater.
She hopes the audience is left with a little fear, a little joy and a lot of questions after watching Puls.
-"Pulse doesn't give any hard and fast answers, and the performance is open to many interpretations. We like to give the audience space, and want each person in the audience to be able to put a little of themselves and their own story into the experience," says Bjørsnøs Kvam.
