Pilotscenen opens in the new year

At the end of a very demanding year (for all of us!), it is a pleasure to announce that our pilot stage will open over the New Year. We look forward to inviting you! 

With pilotscenen In place, we can now finally program performances and events all year round, while offering performing artists a really good production space. Pilotscenen becomes the bridge over to Kloden theater, which is due to be completed in 2025 and will have four production rooms and two theater halls.

Before Kloden , like so many others, 2020 has been a tough year financially. We have spent every penny to finish the construction of pilotscenen . Many thanks to the Norwegian Arts Council, Oslo Municipality, Sparebankstiftelsen and Bergesenstiftelsen for supporting the project. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to the splicing on the stage floor and/or contributed to volunteer work. A big thank you also to Oxer Eiendom, who has helped us through the last hurdle.

Kloden has now received a significant increase in the operating grant for 2021. This means that we can pay the final bills for the construction, program many performances and events, and at the same time start the preliminary design of the theater building. Kloden , which is due to be completed in 2025.
