Th'Line is the artist duo Kristina Wallace and Ida Wigdel. They are known for their special timing, balancing playfulness, humor and seriousness in engaging ways.
In Steelo & Th'Future, Kristina Wallace plays the charismatic workshop leader Steelo, an influencer from Belgium who knows the important people you should be on good terms with. You'll be safely guided through a feel-good session and get a slice of the future. "Th'Future is scary, but also beautiful...eh?"
Confronted by capitalism, social media and power transgressions, Th'Line takes the focus on body and image to the extreme in its work. The company is committed to artistically exploring intricate themes that can feel complex and difficult to talk about. It is now just over a year since #metoo was at its height in the media in Norway, and the performance Steelo emphasizes the importance of continuing to highlight issues related to abuse of power and harassment in order for clean-up and structural changes to take place. The show also addresses how in today's scrolling society, people don't go in-depth and resort to name-dropping to appear updated and important. In Steelo's case, it's the popular theme of environmental friendliness and climate change.
