SHOWCASE: Henrija - Peter Kolbjørnsen

The show is about Henrik, a newly graduated writer, who has been given the opportunity to submit a text to a publisher. The problem is that Henrik is more concerned that the publisher should like what he writes than what he himself thinks. We meet Henrik as he struggles with an uninspired text. Suddenly, old imaginary friends and characters from previous works come to visit. They start discussing the text with Henrik. Before Henrik knows it, he finds himself in his own fantasy world, a world in disintegration. Henrik and his imaginary friends must work together to save this world before it's too late. If that's what Henrik really wants...

During Henrija, actor Peter Kolbjørnsen covers more than 20 characters in an expression reminiscent of Dario Fo's acting style.

About the performance:

"Kolbjørnsen pulled me straight into fantasy and fairy tale land almost without the use of effects. He is alone on stage the whole time and turns a dozen different characters. Impressive storytelling and most importantly, it's fun!"

- Eivin Nilsen Salthe

"One of the best performances I've ever seen"

- Amanda O. Storaunet

"Have seen a spectacular performance Henrija by Peter Kolbjørnsen at Lier Kulturscene. The performance is about finding oneself. And whether characters in games can come alive. And in what sense we ourselves in this world are alive."

- Jan Michelsen

"With impressive mimicry, energy and body control, Peter Kolbjørnsen plays all the roles in his own play, Henrija"

- Stein Styve, Lierposten
