Rock me baby - Solli / Elle

"Rock me baby" is a dance and theater concert for children aged 0-5 years, with a scenic expression rarely seen in art meetings for the youngest: Heavy rock riffs, catchy melodies, poetic soundscapes, glittering costumes, humor and absurd scenes.

With visual and aural expressions from the world of rock, the audience is challenged to wonder what art for the youngest can be - in a safe setting and of course within an acceptable sound level.

The performers appear as a band, composed of five hand-picked musicians and dancers who invite young and old alike into a distinctive and playful universe.

Glittering, critically acclaimed costumes
In the glam rock and poodle rock of the 1970s and 80s, the boundaries between genders became less clear, and the artists often appeared androgynous.

When the ensemble of five male performers in 'Rock me baby' explores this historical trend, it unlocks new possibilities for what gender can be.

Kjell I. Nordstrøm, best known to many from the entertainment series Maskorama on NRK, has designed the show's spectacular costumes.

"The costumes show both young and old that it is allowed to be a man in whatever way you want in this world," wrote reviewer Hilde Halvorsrød in Periskop.

"Rock me Baby" is created by Øystein Elle and Karstein Solli, who have previously collaborated on several popular shows for young children, performed both nationally and internationally.
