Project Dictator (UK) - Rhum+Clay

... or why democracy is overrated and I don't miss it at all.

Project Dictator by British Rhum+Clay is as funny as it is heartbreaking, as intimate as it is universal. A breakneck guide to totalitarianism, it features military coups, campaign rhetoric, populism and the degradation of humanity - all while being highly entertaining and fun!

There will be slapstick, clown fun, satire and storytelling.

"Beautiful and bonkers - it's the clown show about totalitarianism you never knew you needed"

In the process of creating the performance, the company has had conversations with artists from Syria, Venezuela, Brazil, Hungary, Thailand, Turkey and Azerbaijan, all with experience of making art in totalitarian regimes. The performance is a commentary on the political climate in the world today, it is created to communicate with people across borders.
