Does the free performing arts field need to be organized?

We follow up on the previous Pi*s and sermon on Kloden to take a more concrete approach to one of the topics that came up. Namely, the organization of the independent performing arts field. There is currently no national membership organization that has the purpose of gathering and working for performing arts companies, in the same way that theater institutions have with the Norwegian Theater and Orchestra Association. Do we need it, and if so, what do we want with such an organization? We want to dig into that a little, together with the performing artists and companies. And maybe come up with something the field can work on further.

Program:
17:00 – 19:00

Introduction by Ådne Sekkelsten and Tine Tyldum

Group workshops are led by dance artist Mia Habib and performing artist and author Eirik Willyson.

19:15 – 20:15
TROLL – Straume and Simonsen
The physical comedy TROLL has been a huge international success and now it is finally in Oslo!

TROLL is inspired by folklore and is a mix of physical theater, storytelling, scapegoats, music, clowns, long noses and a good dose of nonsense.

The duo Marie Kallevik Straume and Anna Marie Simonsen were described as “queens of the ridiculous” in the wee REVIEW after their performance at the Edinburgh Fringe, the world’s largest theatre festival. TROLL received 4 out of 5 stars in The Guardian and was listed as one of the 50 best performances at the festival in both The Guardian and The Telegraph.

20:15 –
Then we invite you to a New Year's party with New Year's speeches - both planned and improvised, DJ, dancing and a bar.

Possibility to buy soup and drinks in the bar.
