MINI - Teater Nova and Italian TPO

MINI was played on June 11, 2018 at 10:00, 14:00 and 17:00

Triangles, circles, drops and sharp edges. What is hidden behind the different shapes?
Is it different, dangerous or beautiful?

MINI is an idea of differences and similarities, of shapes, colors and forms.

With two performers on stage, Teater Nova, in collaboration with Italian TPO, presents a performance that takes children into a magical and playful universe. MINI is about exploring each other and everything that is different from oneself.

In MINI, everyday situations become vivid visual images, and small reactions are magnified through physical movements. A movement can create a sound, or a change in color or shape can occur when the two performers bump into each other, for example, or one makes a movement that the other repeats. It's about trying to grasp and understand the world, as children often do in their curiosity about everything around them. The expression is magical and adventurous. The performance is divided into a performance part where the audience are spectators, and an interactive part where the children participate in exploring the possibilities of the scenography. Teater Nova makes theater with newly written scripts, and creates performances with a clear physical and visual language. In recent years, Teater Nova has worked with characters and animation in interaction with the actors, working both in Norway and internationally. Teater Nova and TPO have collaborated since 2015. TPO specializes in high-tech performances, including custom-built sensor mats and interactive graphic design.
