Sometimes I forget that you are human - Teater Hysteria

Two women are stuck in a nursing home landscape. They are on duty, at work. They are in a hurry, while time stands still.

They try to remember who likes four slices of cucumber on their liver pate and who only drinks freshly squeezed tea, the red packet. They look at wrinkled skin, dandruff and toenails that curl like snail shells. They look at themselves. They look at the other. And the smell. That smell. It never goes away.

With a humorous slant, Teater Hysteria explores the intersection between routine and humanity, and what can happen when we forget that people are people. The performance is composed of newly written stage text, improvisation, interviews and own experiences as nursing home employees.

Teater Hysteria is a newly established theater company that produces performing arts with a focus on telling stories from a female perspective. The company works with newly written drama and is curious about collective, co-creative processes.
