Heddadagene: Ruve - Landing

Dancing dances.

Head one way, hips the other.

Three bodies that say, see and limp

- draws roads among trees, dogs, trams and people.

We show up uninvited and interfere with the routines and rhythms of the place.

A gentle insistence, circling, unfolding.

Coherent swing to the sound of gravel,

six open palms,

rocks and snow under your shoes.

Ruve is a dance work made in and for public space. The starting point for Ruve was to create a public work of art on the terms of dance. With the body as a starting point and material, a limited time interval, and their relational, listening performance skills, can Landing create an experience of permanence, and thus occupy a public space as if they were placed there for "eternity"?

With Ruve, Landing wants to give the audience an art experience in a situation where they are not prepared to encounter performing arts; on the way to work, the store or kindergarten. Perhaps in this way Ruve can reduce the distance between the people of Oslo and art?

In the fall of 2022, Ruve was carried out at 28 different locations in Oslo. In 2023, Ruve will be carried out every Monday and Wednesday throughout the year, a total of 104 times, at a fixed time and place, regardless of weather conditions or whether it is a weekday, holiday or public holiday.
