Vilde Kamfjord's beautiful children's book På omveien hjem becomes theater! Join Vinde and Britt on the train to Lillehammer.
Vinde has taken the train all by herself, without her parents knowing.
She's going to Lillehammer for her little sister's birthday.
Vinde and her best friend Ronald will play the recorder, and Vinde has even brought a bunad. Ronald will be wearing a superhero costume.
Coincidentally, on this train, Britt is sitting next to her. Since Vinde is not afraid to talk to strangers; how else would you get to know someone new, they start talking. They talk quite a lot. They simply get to know each other really well.
It turns out that Vinde has experienced something that was very difficult and incomprehensible.
She carries a great, great sorrow and believes that it is her fault that her little sister fell ill and had to go to hospital.
On the journey to Lillehammer, memories and images from the past arise, it is a journey both to Lillehammer and to an understanding of what cannot really be understood. What happens when we die?
Where does that leave us?
Between Britt and Vinde, there is a special kind of intimacy that can perhaps only occur on a train, when you have nothing to do but wait for the train to arrive.

Brageteatret was established in 2000, and its mandate was to produce theatrical experiences for the target group of children and young people. When the Cultural Rucksack was launched a few years later, the regional theater was given responsibility for delivering the performing arts in DKS-Buskerud. The theater, which is located at Union Scene in Drammen, has expanded its offerings in recent years, and now offers performing arts to all age groups, but has retained its main focus on young people. As of 2020, Brageteatret will be touring its performances throughout Viken county.
