The Hedda Festival : Artist Talks – Mia Habib and Jassem Hindi
Dance artist and choreographer Mia Habib and dance and sound artist Jassem Hindi have co-curated “ Oslo Events ” – a series of six performative events that will take place in Oslo this fall, organized in collaboration with Kloden theatre and TrAP. From Kaffelageret in Oslo they tell about this, as well as how they met and the work they have done together.
Mia Habib is a dancer, performing artist and choreographer: Her work addresses contemporary issues and engages audiences across social, political and artistic spheres. She often works outside the established performing arts spaces and in collaboration with the local community.
Jassem Hindi works with sound, performance and as a writer and storyteller. In his latest show, he creates an immersive environment and collective political space through performance and poetry.
Scenekunstbruket started Kunstnersamtaler during Showbox 2020. The format is simple; we put two performing artists together and let them talk freely for half an hour. Some of them have met before, others have not. What they have in common is that they work with performing arts for children and young people.
The conversation will be shown here, and on the Facebook page of Kloden and The Hedda Festival .
In collaboration with Scenekunstbruket and TrAP.
