GoFigure! Coulrophobia - Opposable Thumb (UK)

Dik and Adam are clowns. They couldn't get out of a paper bag if it was about life, let alone the surreal cardboard world they're stuck in. Why are they there, and what are they really doing? They know something is up, and they need to get away before it's too late. Join them on a hilarious, anarchic, rather hysterical and sometimes quite scary journey towards freedom.

F**king brilliant! Utterly amazing. Not a dull moment

Brilliant physical and inclusive theatre

My face hurts from laughing

What audiences say

Having grown tired of making fancy puppet shows, Opposable Thumb Theatre (formerly known as Pickled Image) has gone back to their roots: They've made a clown show! Not just any clown show, but a proper full-blooded red nose funny wig and oversized shoes type show. Coulrophobia ( ku ː lrəʊfəʊbɪə ) - the fear of clowns.

"Coulrophobia" is made by Bristol-based company Pickled Image in collaboration with Nordland Visual Theatre and is 75 minutes of slapstick, mime, puppetry and a whole lot of cardboard.

The performance is part of Go Figure! Festival for puppetry and visual performing arts, a biennial in Oslo that was held for the first time in 2018.
