The Agency for Existential Uncertainty – Ivar Furre Aam

Welcome to the work show!

By working with two conceptual extremes: Lars Norén's Demons and Tove Janson's Universe, we have attempted to examine toxic relationships, existential unrest and anxiety over four workshop days.

In Tove Janson's Moomin books, an underlying sense of existential unrest and depth is created, which is softened, but also intensified, through a clear and naive visualization and language. We have wanted to look at this combination of expression and what it produces. By working with masks as people and thinking of people as masks/puppets, we have played with different physical expressions and a choreographic approach to acting.

We are unsure whether this is the germ of a children's theater or an adult theater, perhaps a human theater, but we know that it will be about the uncertainty we all surround ourselves with and that we try to pretend is not there. Welcome to the Agency for Existential Uncertainty.
