Asphalt pulse - Mine Nilay & the gang

Welcome to an outdoor screening of Asphalt Pulse at Økernsenteret, Friday October 9 at 15.

"I called out. No one came." This is how the performance Asfaltpuls- paranoia as hell in the sunset starts, which is a reconstructed perception of a reality in a big city. An existence where you are distanced from your surroundings because you don't recognize yourself, don't feel part of what is around you.

In the performance we meet 5 characters who in their own way experience disconnection from their city. A sense of loneliness permeates the entire piece and themes such as love, domestic violence, beauty pageantry and loneliness are illustrated by the actors through physical choreographies and text blocks.

We meet an "identical" group of people, who follow a stereotypical rough youth description - but who, through the performance, break up and reveal the identity and personal stories of each individual in the seemingly similar group of people.

The show aims to meet young people where they are, in centers, schools, squares, etc.

Asfaltpuls- paranoia as hell in the sunset was performed in Oslo in 2018 and was played on the streets at 37 venues in the eastern part of the city. The performance received good reviews, an overwhelming response from young people and had over 2500 audience members during its tour.

Asphalt Pulse is played outdoors and indoors during its mini tour. It lasts 20 minutes.

Where: In the square next to the subway station, direction city center. Subway 5.
