Some things you know what they are, while others are harder to put into words. And what do you actually call things that don't have a name? Those little things?

In Himstregimser og andre duppeditter, children are invited into a world of shapes, textures, sound and movement. The room is filled with imaginative and strange textile objects that all have their countless functions, and that play on a variety of senses. Here there are trees made of hats and giant pearl necklaces, and we meet two strange, dancing creatures that live here. In this performance, there is nothing that needs to be understood or interpreted, or stories that need to be followed. The boundaries between adults, children, dancers and audience are blurred, and it is perfectly fine to feel and explore the soft textile objects.

Himstregimser and other puppet shows are as much a journey of discovery into another universe as they are a dance performance. At the end, the audience is allowed to play freely in the room, so they can touch and feel all the objects they have seen the dancers use.

This is a 'hush'-free performance where the dancers meet the audience at their level and let them become part of their imaginative world. The audience sits in the middle of the hall while the dancers move around them. The performance is open to everyone, but is adapted to those who need a little more "relaxed" forms. The lights are never completely turned off and it is perfectly fine to go in and out of the hall if you need a break. The hall is also not completely full, so those who like to have some space around them can get it. Contact us here if you have any questions.
