The world said yes – Barske Glæder Productions
An exciting performance about the development of the world, from creation to the present.
The World Said Yes is a performance full of color and magic! Join us in the vast universe, in light, time, the sea, and in the time when we were all fish.
The performance provides a magnificent overview of our planet's development. It is full of funny details and surprises, while at the same time having a melancholic undertone. Here we get the history of the world told in pictures, from the beginning of time to our time of ecological crisis. And what happens now? We are never "finished", there is always something more we can develop or wish for, right?
Welcome to a visual, colorful and exciting story for both children and adults.
"A fantastic opportunity for young children to learn about how the Earth was made"
The performance Verden sa ja is based on the critically acclaimed children's book of the same title by Kaia Dahle Nyhus. The book, which was awarded the Critics' Award, is known for its musical integrity and strong interplay between text, rhythm and illustrations.
From the Critics' Award for "The World Said Yes":
"This year's winner is reminiscent of music, in fact of one of the most famous works in music history. It is the first time I have heard an entire work inside me while reading a book, and it is the first time the music is right – in the rhythm of the images, in the rhythm of the text, in the use of color. This is of course just a reference, but it is also a quality. It says something about the solid composition of the winning work when it comes to language, colors, tone, alternations and the different rhythms a literary work always contains" – Karen Frøsland Nystøyl
