Wonderful curiosities and spurious wonders
Fantasmagoria is a magical cabinet of curiosities, inspired by illusion theater and puppet theater from the 19th century.
Here, children and adults will meet a number of strange and charming characters and dolls; such as the ballet-dancing Captain Prebensen, the chess-playing Siamese twins and the Countertenor in love.
In Ellen Ugelvik's newly written music, the grand piano becomes an entire orchestra of sounds and melodies with rich references to the era. Aina Villanger's poems are playful fantasizing about the dolls' dreamlike existence. Tormod Lindgren's figures are easily recognizable with their distinctive artistic idiom.
