Does my beat fit? - Nordic Black Xpress and The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra
It is believed that humans and animals have an innate instinct to be part of a herd, and to fit in with that herd. Humans seek out others and want to be part of a larger community.
But how do you know which flock is yours?
Can you choose which pack you want to be part of?
Can you be part of multiple flocks?
How do you actually "fit in" with a group?
And can you adapt to a group without losing your own individuality?
In "Does my beat fit?" we explore these questions and examine what herd mentality, individuality and identity mean to us.
Theater students from Nordic Black Xpress and musicians from the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra have collaborated to develop a performance where classical music meets theater in an unpredictable interplay in both the process and on stage.
