Oslo Culture Night: The face of the road - Julian Karenga

"The Face of the Road" is a coming-of-age story inspired by myths and fairy tales.

We meet the boy who sets out on a journey to find his father. On his journey, he tries to piece together pieces of a childhood characterized by substance abuse and neglect. The northern Norwegian cityscape of Tromsø becomes an arena for a magical adventure that grows out of grief. To understand himself, the boy must understand his father, who has almost become a mythical figure in his life. Along the way, Gutten has good helpers, including his little brother, a fat cat and his classmate Marte.

The performance at Kulturnatten will be followed by an open mic. Welcome to a slam evening led by Taro Vestøl Cooper!
