Heddadagene: Gïele Luvlede - Voices from the East - Camilla Therese Karlsen

Children and adults are welcome to an animal experience!

The sun and moon change the sky from night to day, and under this sky lie two extremes of Sápmi that will now meet in the animal kingdom. As the days change, the various animal figures are brought to life through South Sámi joik, East Sámi dance and moving images.

Miles apart, but perhaps not as different as we think? Gïele Luvlede - Voices from the East, takes us to meet the East Sami on the Kola Peninsula and their unique dance traditions. Through dance, they breathe life and form into the animal, and we come face to face with South Sami animal yaks. Perhaps we are closer than we think?

Gïele Luvlede is an interactive performance that invites children into this world. Together we explore the different animals and create an experience in the animal kingdom.
